The SEGO - We Care Foundation serves the patient population of Southeastern Gynecologic Oncology. SEGO is one of the largest and most complete treatment facilities for gynecologic cancers in the country.

The mission of the SEGO - We Care Foundation is to provide support programs addressing all aspects of the gynecologic cancer patient including empowering women and their caregivers with knowledge and support on the journey through and beyond treatment for gynecologic cancer as well as educate the medical community of comprehensive and leading-state-of-the-art information regarding screening, surgical procedures and treatment of gynecologic cancers.

SEGO - We Care Foundation provides a variety of programs enabling patients, caregivers and family members' opportunities to enhance their coping mechanisms living with and beyond their gynecologic cancer treatment. These programs include educational symposiums with our doctors called "Shot with the Doc", recommendations and referrals for integrative/complimentary therapies through our program called "SEGO Choice" - Where Medicine & the Mind Connect", financial assistance is offered to the gynecologic cancer patient through the "Sue Kassin Memorial Indigent Fund" management of emotional and physical issues surrounding the patient's cancer treatment through our "SEGO Buddies Support Program", "Nutritional Notes", "Beautiful Because", as well as offering personal and family counseling and an annual celebration of life is provided at the "Cancer Survivor's Day" held during September, the awareness month for gynecologic cancers.

The SEGO - We Care Foundation extends knowledge and awareness of gynecologic cancers to the community through participation with national and local gynecologic cancer organizations, local health fairs and by attending medical symposiums at both the national and local levels.
